Hey, I’m Ryan!
I’m an oil painter and illustrator based in Rhode Island, best known for my work with Magic: the Gathering and Marvel. I’ve been working professionally since 2005, building a career around traditional oil painting in a field largely dominated by digital art.
In this course, I’ll guide you through the foundations of representational painting — from simple forms and observation to portraiture and imaginative realism — using the same process I rely on in my own studio.
